Kaziikini Community Campsite
The traditional rondawel huts and campsites all use the central ablution facility (hot showers, flush toilets in open air reed & canvas constructions) which uses solar power to heat water and provide lighting for both the ablutions and the restaurant. Gas geysers have been put in place as a back up to the solar unit during raining season. One of these toilets is a recycling water toilet and has been working very well ever since it was installed. The water for the campsites is pumped from a sealed borehole by solar power and is safe to drink direct from the tap. Two tents of canvas and thatch, each with en-suit bathrooms built on raised decks are near completion. Each tent has got twin - three quarter beds.
